For families looking after a parent’s money
Gifts, care fees and paperwork for your parent, kept in one place
Seventide is a shared, secure record of a parent’s gifts, care costs, NHS evidence and attorney decisions. It does the sums using the published rules, reminds you before important dates, and builds the packs that HMRC, the council, the NHS and the Office of the Public Guardian ask for.
- 14-day free trial, no card
- Hosted and encrypted in the UK
- Plain English, large text
- Never moves money

Every stage, one record
From the first gift to the executor’s pack
Looking after a parent’s money usually runs for years, in three stages. Seventide changes what it shows you as things move on, and nothing you recorded earlier is ever lost.
While your parent is giving
Record each gift as it happens. Seventide checks it against the Inheritance Tax exemptions, starts the 7-year clock and keeps the income and spending records an executor will need.
When care is needed
Track savings against care fees, see when they may reach the council’s limits, and get a reminder months before. Keep an NHS Continuing Healthcare evidence diary and the attorney’s records alongside.
When the time comes
Hand the executor a pack with the gift schedule in the layout of HMRC’s IHT403 form, the last balances, the care fee history and every document, then keep a read-only archive for as long as you need.
Why records matter
The dates that cost families money
Most of the money families lose is not lost to a bad decision. It is lost because nobody wrote something down, or nobody noticed a date in time. A gift with no record. A call to the council made a month too late. An NHS assessment with no evidence of what happens at night.
Seventide keeps the record as you go and tells you, in plain English, what is coming up.
Seventide shows figures and explains the published rules. It is not financial, legal or tax advice. Read our guides to the rules.
Which exemption applies, how much of this year’s allowance is left, and when the gift falls out of the estate.
A projection of when savings may reach the upper limit, with alerts 6, 3 and 1 month before, so you can contact the council in time.
A 20-second diary entry against the 12 areas of care the NHS assessment uses, ready to print as an evidence pack.
The attorney’s transactions, expenses and decisions with reasons, in a report the Office of the Public Guardian can read.
What it does
Does the sums, keeps the evidence, builds the packs
Gifts and Inheritance Tax
Record one-off and regular gifts. Seventide checks each one against the exemptions (spouse or civil partner, charity, wedding, small gifts, regular gifts from income, and the annual exemption with last year’s carry-forward), runs every 7-year clock with taper, and produces a working schedule in the layout of HMRC’s IHT403 form.
- Income and spending test for gifts from surplus income
- Estate estimate and use of the nil-rate bands
- A warning before a gift that a council may question if care is likely

Paying for care
Add the care home contract, invoices, top-ups and NHS-funded Nursing Care. Seventide works out the funding position under the means test for England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, projects savings month by month and tells you when they may reach the council’s limits.
- Alerts 6, 3 and 1 month before a threshold
- Property disregards and tariff income explained
- A timeline of every contact with the council

NHS Continuing Healthcare evidence
The NHS assessment looks at 12 areas of care, from breathing to behaviour. Family members can add a diary entry in about 20 seconds, by typing or speaking, from wherever they are. Seventide tracks the assessment timeline and its review and appeal deadlines, and prints an evidence pack.
- Level descriptions for each care area
- Letter templates to request an assessment
- Attendance Allowance screener and claim tracker

Shared with the family, on your terms
Invite brothers, sisters and attorneys, and choose what each person can see. Some families share everything. Others keep gifts private. Everyone sees the same up-to-date picture, every change is recorded, and your parent can always see their own record.
- Owner, attorney, family, parent and professional roles
- Consent recorded with a signature or attorney declaration
- Comments and @mentions on any record

Made to be trusted
Careful with your family’s information
This is some of the most private information a family holds. Seventide was built around that from the first line of code.
Encrypted, in the UK
Each family’s records are encrypted with their own key and held in UK data centres. Documents are encrypted before upload, and download links expire in minutes.
Discreet reminders
Emails and phone notifications never include names, amounts or health details. They just say something needs attention. You see the detail after you sign in.
Records, not a bank
Seventide never moves money or changes anything at the bank. You enter balances or import a statement, and it keeps the record.
Easy to read and use
Plain English throughout, text up to twice as large, dark and high-contrast colours, and full support for screen readers. Built to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standard.
Phone, tablet or computer
Works in any up-to-date browser and can be added to your home screen like an app. Diary entries and gifts can be added without a signal and are sent when you are back online.
Your data, always
Download everything at any time, even after a trial ends. Delete it all whenever you choose and receive a deletion certificate.

Questions
Common questions
Is Seventide financial or legal advice?
No. Seventide shows figures and explains the published rules in plain English, but it does not tell you what to do. For decisions about trusts, investments, selling a home or equity release, speak to a qualified, regulated adviser. The app explains which kind of specialist to look for.
Do I need power of attorney to use it?
No. Many families start while their parent still manages their own money, so the gift records begin early. If you do hold a Lasting Power of Attorney or a deputyship order, you can record it and use the attorney records as well.
What happens when the free trial ends?
If nobody subscribes, the workspace becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted: everyone can still see every record, download everything or delete it. New entries and packs are switched back on as soon as someone subscribes.
